Black River Falls Man Appears in Court for Possession

-One of two people arrested after a drug investigation in Black River Falls appears in Jackson County Court.According to the Jackson County Sheriff’s Department, they executed a search warrant at a home on the 400 block of Chestnut Street in Black River Falls. Charles Sarmiento and Sierra McKee, both of Black River Falls, were arrested. Sarmiento is facing charges of felon in possession of a firearm, possession of a short-barreled shotgun, possession of methamphetamine, possession of drug paraphernalia and keeping and maintain a drug trafficking place. McKee is facing charges of keeping and maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession of drug paraphernalia.
During Sarmiento’s court appearance on Tuesday, he waived a preliminary hearing and entered a not guilty plea to the charges against him. He’s scheduled to be back in court on January 8th. McKee is scheduled to be back in court this coming Monday.
