FEINGOLD AND WIFE ANNOUNCE SPLIT

A Wisconsin senator whose name has come up as a possible candidate for president in 2008 is getting a divorce from his second wife.Russ Feingold issued a statement today from his Senate office. Russ and Mary Feingold have been married for 14 years and said they separated amicably. Feingold has two daughters from his first marriage.
Mary Feingold has two sons from her first marriage.
Feingold won his bid for a third term last fall by eleven percentage points in a state that Democrat John Kerry barely carried. Feingold's national profile has increased with his work on campaign finance reform and by casting the only Senate vote against the Patriot Act.
