Neillsville City Council Hears Committee Reports at Tuesday Meeting

The Neillsville City Council heard some Committee Reports at their meeting on Tuesday.The council heard the Historic Preservation Committee report from their meeting on November 6th. The commission denied a demolition request and approved appointing a new chair. The council also heard the Library Board Report from their meeting on November 5th. The board heard some reports from the librarians and they also approved the resignation of Library Director Cara Hart. The board also heard some information on collection letters sent to those with high balances and the positive response they received. The council also shared some communications with one another including the tree decorating contest, getting posters in the kiosks, a community forum and new visitors guides for the county.
They also heard a report on the city attorney regarding a situation that occurred while Marshfield Medical Center was connecting to the water lines and an ongoing discussion with the Town of Pine Valley regarding hook ups. Finally, the council heard the Report of Officers. For the month of October, the department had 135 complaints, 103 service calls, 38 traffic citations, 47 traffic warnings, 3 crash investigations, 34 ordinance citations, 14 adult arrests, 6 cases referred to the district attorney’s office, 14 juvenile cases and 16 parking citations.
