Greenwood School Board Hears Administrators' Reports

-The Greenwood School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.Elementary Principal Joe Green provided an updated on the ARC reading program. Also, the Family Book Club event is wrapping this week and 60 families participated. Elementary parents were also invited to participate with their student on Family PE Day. Also, Parent-Teacher Conferences held on October 25-25 saw a 95% attendance rate. Finally, a Penny Drive was held the week of November 4th to raise money for the Legacy Stone Project. Over $600 was raised and Forward Financial will provide matching funds.
District Administrator Todd Felhofer provided a legislative update stating that committees are discussing possible full funding of 4K and distributing Equalization Aid in four equal payments. Mr. Felhofer also highlighted two of the sessions he attended at the WiRSA conference October 28th and 29th. Finally, a recent newspaper story regarding school mascots was shared and the CTE Kick-Start Your Career event, Save-a-Life Assembly, FFA Blood Drive and the Veterans Day Program were all highlighted.
