Clark County Board of Supervisors Approves 2020 County Budget

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved the 2020 county budget at their meeting on Tuesday.The board approved the 2020 budget with expenses at $68,609,858 and revenues at $44,359,097. A proposed fund balance of $6,430,335 were applied to reduce the levy and the total indebtedness of Clark County as of December 31st, 2018 was $9,570,262. The levy came to $17,820,426 with a mil rate of $8.04 per thousand dollars evaluation. Along with that, the board approved borrowing $2,950,000 in 2020 for road and bridge construction and to purchase new election equipment. The board also approved some other items on the agenda. The board approved the county to participate in the Karner Blue Butterfly Habitat and Conservation Plan and Agreement with the Wisconsin DNR.
The board also approved the Community Services and Social Service Contract for 2020 and those items were included in the budget. The board also approved the 2020 application for the Women, Infants and Children, or WIC, grant and they approved the 2020 county aid for bridge and culvert construction. The total amount of aid comes to $155,720.44. Finally, the county approved the dues and membership in the Wisconsin Counties Association, which came to $6,436.
