Neillsville City Council Approves 2020 Budget and Net Levy

-The Neillsville City Council approved the 2019 City Budget and Levy at their meeting on Tuesday.The city approved the levy, without the TIF Districts, at $1,147,437. The TIF Districts came to $57,300 with the council approving a total net levy of $1,204,337. The city’s mil rate will be $10.70 per $100,000 of property value. They approved the budget and as well as a line in the budget that covers the cost of some new equipment for the Public Works Department. Some other budget items they approved include Audit Services with CliftonLarsenAllen at a cost of $22,400, assessor services at a cost of $7,450, and the Dental Insurance with Humana Dental.
The average cost of the various dental plans for the city is increasing 5.2% and that has been budgeted. Some other items approved at the meeting include the rescheduling of their 2nd December meeting to Monday, December 23rd as opposed to the 24th where it was initially scheduled.
