Employment Matters and More at the Greenwood School Board Meeting

-The Greenwood School Board approved filling a position at their meeting on Monday.The board approved Margie Olson as a long-term Special Education Teacher. They also approved one volunteer. The board also received a reminder on employment timelines, they declined to pursue the ARMR policy and they received an update on the new state standards for K-5 Social Studies. The board completed a first reading of policies in 0000s-5000s in the policy update and they received an update on the Elementary School Office/Entry project, with the project officially completed.
The board also received an update from the Loss Control Survey. The survey went very well with only one recommendation for correction that will be completed next spring/summer. Finally, a community member expressed concern with the viability of Clark County school districts. They also voiced concern about any potential future referendum.
