Neillsville Woman Sentenced for Breaking Into Home in Alma Center

-A Neillsville woman accused of breaking into and burglarizing a home and cutting the owner of the home with a knife was sentenced in Jackson County Court on Monday.According to court records, Sherri Fitzl allegedly broke into a man’s home in Alma Center and took several items. She claimed the man had given her a key and told her to stop by anytime. The man found Fitzl in his home and, when he confronted her about the stolen items, she cut him with a pocket knife.
Fitzl was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, theft of movable property. Several other charges were dismissed and read in. She was sentenced to one year of probation with a condition of 90 days jail time.
