DNA Connects Virginia Man to Clark County Crime

-A Virginia man is facing charges in Clark County after DNA matched him to an incident back in March of 2018.According to court records, law enforcement responded to an incident at the Wildcat Mound on March 30th of 2018. They received reports of a guy who had chased two girls and punched them. Evidence found at the scene was sent to a DNA crime lab’s testing site back in June of last year and evidence came back in February of this year matching 27-year-old Shane Hoiland of Pennington Gap, Virginia.
Pennington is facing charges of child abuse, battery and disorderly conduct. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
