Mixed Commodity Prices for September

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The September average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin was $3.69 per bushel, according to the USDA's Agricultural Prices report.That's 20-cents lower than August, but up 40-cents from the previous September. Soybean prices averaged $8.17 per bushel, down eight cents for the month and 75-cents lower for the year. Oat were four cents higher for the month at $3.07 per bushel, and up 43-cents above September 2018. All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $176.00 per ton in September, up $6.00 from August and $31.00 more than last September.
The alfalfa hay price was $190.00 per ton, $2.00 lower than last month, but $36.00 above last year. The other hay price averaged $135.00, up $23.00 from August 2019 and $15.00 more than September 2018.
