Neillsville School Board Hears Administrators' Reports

-The Neillsville School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.Elementary Principal Marcy Kunze reported on attendance, Achievement Gap Reduction Performance Objectives and Strategies, Walk to School Day was October 2nd, anti-bullying and kindness activities, teacher professional development, field trips, swimming for grades 2nd-5th has begun, fire safety for 5th grade, 4K-1st grades PALS testing, raking leaves activity on October 24th, parent teacher conferences were October 17th-18th and October 10th and 11th was the Elementary Principal’s Convention. Middle School Principal Kory Poeschel reported on attendance, welcome bags for new students, homecoming, a 7th grade field trip to Cummins Filtration on October 8th, a GIS presentation, a LEGO Build October 10th-11th, an 8th grade filed trip to CVTC on October 16th, flu shot clinic for students on October 29th, the end of the first quarter on November 1st and picture retake day on November 12th.
High School Principal Craig Anderson reported on attendance, tech-ed certifications, a blood drive, a leadership conference in Osseo, homecoming and progress in the greenhouse. Finally, District Administrator John Gaier reported on the recognition of Rick Opelt’s years of service on the school board, WASB Region 5 Board of Directors election, an article regarding use and possession of CBD on school premises, a report on lead testing of drinking water in schools and an Association for Equity in Funding newsletter.
