Five Wisconsin Tribes Get Federal Funds to Improve Public Safety

(WRN) -Five Wisconsin tribal communities are getting millions of dollars to help improve public safety.The Lac du Flambeau, Bad River, Lac Courte Oreilles, Red Cliff and St. Croix reservations will be getting 5 point 8 million dollars to improve tribal policing and offer better assistance to victims of crimes.
That funding is coming from the US Department of Justice, and is part of a 273 million dollar package heading out to tribal communities across the US.
