One Person Sentenced For Drug Possession

One of two people arrested for possession in the City of Osseo after the execution of a search warrant was sentenced in Trempealeau County Court last week.According to the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department, they executed a search warrant at home in Osseo. The home was occupied by James Guntner and Kiera Whitman as well as a young child. A search of the residence found over 3 grams of heroin, marijuana, drug packaging material and other items. It was determined that the two were selling drug out of their home, which is 500 feet from school grounds. The child was removed from the home. Whitman pleaded guilty to possession of narcotics, neglecting a child, maintaining a drug trafficking place and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was sentenced to 2 years of probation.
Back in August, Guntner was found guilty of manufacture/deliver of heroin and maintaining a drug trafficking place. Three other charges were dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 4 years of probation with a condition of 6 months jail time. He was also given an imposed and stayed sentence of 3 years in prison and 3 years of extended supervision, meaning that if violates his probation, he’ll serve that time.
