This Week's Walk-In Application Dates for Heating Assistance in Clark County

-The Clark County Department of Social Services is taking walk-in applications for the Wisconsin Home Energy Assistance Program for the 2019-20 heating season.Approximately 1,265 household were assisted last heating season. Appointments are managed on a first come, first served basis. Please do not call for an appointment. They’ll be accepting applications this Tuesday, October 15th and Thursday, October 17th from 8:30am-3:30pm at the Clark County Courthouse in Neillsville. They’ll also be at the Clark County Rehabilitation and Living Center in Owen on Friday, October 18th from 9am-3:30pm. You need to provide documentation for all household gross income for the last 3 months, a photo ID if you have not applied before and a heating and electric bill.
Income for people who are self-employed, farmers or seasonal workers is based on federal income tax forms for the previous year, 2018. For Clark County residents who are age 60 and older, the Aging and Disability Resource Center will assist with application completion.
