Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry Selects Wenzel's Farm as Firm of the Year

-The Marshfield Area Chamber of Commerce and Industry will be honoring their Firm of the Year this Thursday, October 10th at Hotel Marshfield.I spoke with Scott Larson, the Executive Director of MACCI, and he explained the different recognitions MACCI awards throughout the year. “We have two primary recognitions, the Firm of the Year Award and the Small Business of the Year Award. The Firm of the Year we present to larger employers and the Small Business of the Year is given to, obviously, smaller businesses.” Scott explained why Wenzel’s Farm was selected. “There’s certain criteria that a business must meet and Wenzel’s has seen a lot of change in regards to their marketing of products and the branding of their products, so that was one of the reasons they were selected.”
Scott went into more detail about the criteria in regards to be selected for an award. “Well, obviously, they need to be a Chamber member in good standing. They most also be of a certain size, either in sales or number of employees. And they must also have undertaken a significant growth or change in regards to their businesses or sales.” During the ceremony, MACCI will also be recognizing businesses celebrating milestone anniversaries.
