Clark County Board of Supervisors Approves Appointments and Other Items

-The Clark County Board of Supervisors approved a hand full of appointments at their meeting on Wednesday.The board approved Philip Nesbit as the Corporation Counsel. They also approved Brittaney Mews, Sosaeh Connahvichnah, Scott Haines, Dan Dozer and Crystal Stanton to the Local Emergency Planning Committee. They replace Greg Herrick, Robert Leischow, Brian Cockerham and Sonja Leenhouts. The board also heard the 2018 Audit Report, the 2018 Social Services Annual Report and the Amendment to Board Rules. The board approve a resolution giving its approval of the Clark County Land and Water Resource Management Plan. The approval of the plan allows the county to receive support from the state Land Conservation Committee, Land Conservation Department and grants.
The board also approved a resolution approving of the appraised value and sale of tax deed properties. The county has the opportunity to potentially receive $610,000 in revenue due to the approval. They are currently facing an expense of $58,585.38 for delinquent taxes. The board also approved some 2018 budget transfers to a handful of accounts. No action was taken on a resolution that would have seen an increase in compensation for the County Coroner.
