SBA ANNOUNCES HELP FOR AG-DEPENDENT BUSINESSES

Clark County small businesses may be eligible for federal disaster loans.The U.S. Small Business Administration announced today that small, agriculture-dependent businesses located in 25 Wisconsin counties might be eligible for financial help if they were impacted by the excessive spring rain and flooding followed by dry summer weather and an early frost last year.
In our area: Clark, Chippewa, Eau Claire, Jackson, Marathon, Taylor and Wood Counties fall into the disaster area.
The declaration frees up SBA?s Economic Injury Disaster Loan program. Farm implement dealers, seed and feed, spraying and irrigation businesses are examples o those that might receive assistance. If you?d like more information, you chould call SBA at 1-800-359-2227.
