Eau Claire Woman Sentenced for Possession Charges in Trempealeau County Court

-One of two people from Eau Claire, arrested in the City of Osseo for possession of methamphetamine, was sentenced in Trempealeau County Court on Tuesday.According to the Trempealeau County Sheriff’s Department, back in December of last year, deputies made contact with a vehicle at the SuperAmerica Gas Station in Osseo, occupied by Kevin Bell and Megan Rasmussen. The contact was made after Rasmussen agreed to sell methamphetamine to an undercover investigator. A K9 unit alerted to drugs in the vehicle and, after a search, 14 grams of methamphetamine was discovered as was packaging material and other paraphernalia. Back in May, Rasmussen was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, possession with intent-amphetamine.
Two other charges were dismissed and read in. She was sentenced to 18 months in prison and 4 years of extended supervision. Back in May, Bell was found guilty of, due to a no contest plea, possession with intent-amphetamine. Another charge was dismissed and read in. He was sentenced to 1 year and 2 months in prison and 4 years of extended supervision.
