Wisconsin Egg Production Unchanged

Wisconsin egg production during August was 183 million eggs, virtually unchanged from last month, but two percent more than the same time a year ago.The Wisconsin Ag Connection reports that according to the latest USDA Chickens and Eggs report, the average number of all layers on hand was 6.97 million. That was similar to July's county, but down three percent from August 2018.
Eggs per 100 layers for August were 2,624, up one percent for the month and five percent more for the year.
