Neillsville City Council News

The Neillsville City Council heard several committee reports at their meeting on Tuesday.

The council heard the Board of Cemetery Commissioners Report from their meeting on September 17th. The commission heard a report on the condition and work done in the cemetery and a request for a bench in the cemetery. They also approved the budget for 2020. They had a slight increase because of an increase in salaries and extra help. They also discussed moving back a lawnmower purchase and a need for a new shed, but the request has been denied for several years. They may approach the Listeman Foundation. They council heard the Library Board Report from their meeting on September 17th. They heard about some donations and the summer reading programs. They also approved their budget.

The council heard the Commission on Economic Development Report from their meeting on September 18th. They approved their budget for 2020. The council heard the Community Fire Hall Board Report from their meeting on September 19th. They heard about the financials, some work done around the fire hall and they approved their 2020 budget. Finally, they heard the Police and Fire Commission Report from their meeting on September 23rd. They discussed the vacant Police Chief position for Neillsville.
