(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -A pair of state agencies are working together to assist farmers in need of job training. The Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development and Department of Agriculture announced on Thursday they have revived joint efforts to provide programs for producers who may need to either leave the farm or work a secondary job off the farm for extra income. DATCP Secretary Brad Pfaff adds that his department is doing what it can to help farmers survive and grow economically.
Increased collaboration between DATCP and DWD was also a recurring theme across the recommendations of the Dairy Task Force 2.0, which issued its final report earlier this summer.
