Marshfield Alderman and County Board Member Resigns

(Marshfield News Herald) -Marshfield City Council and Wood County Board member Jason Zaleski resigned from his positions Thursday.Zaleski, who represented District 7 on the council and District 4 on the county board, said in a resignation email that his local sports news outlet, Zaleski Sports, has grown and he wants to be able to dedicate more time to it. City Administrator Steve Barg said council members will discuss at Tuesday's city council meeting the possibility of selecting a replacement to serve the remainder of Zaleski's term, which ends in April 2020.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday in council chambers on the first floor of Marshfield City Hall, 207 W. Sixth St. Wood County Clerk Trent Miner said if the board decides to fill the position, it will be up to Board Chairman Douglas Machon.
