Minnesota Man Arrested for Kidnapping a Women Appears in Jackson County Court

(WQOW) -A Minnesota man accused of kidnapping a women and bringing her to Wisconsin appeared in Jackson County Court on Wednesday.

According to WQOW, Dwayne Doxen picked up a woman at a homeless shelter promising her work cleaning. The woman became suspicious of Doxen when she found another women’s ID and bank cards in the vehicle. She asked Doxen to take her back, but he refused and stated he was going to take her to Georgia or Florida after she told him she wanted to be an actress. He also tried to get her to drink alcohol. Eventually, the woman threatened to urinate in Doxen’s car if he didn’t stop and let her use the bathroom.

Doxen stopped at the Hixton Travel Center in Jackson County. The woman was able to ask for help and the police came and arrested Doxen. He’s facing charges of kidnapping, false imprisonment, carry a concealed weapon and carrying a concealed knife. During his preliminary hearing, probable cause was found so his court proceedings will continue. He entered a not guilty plea to the charge against him. He’s scheduled to be back in court September 25th.
