150 Wisconsin National Guard Soldiers Deploying to the Middle East

(WRN) -Around 150 soldiers from the Wisconsin National are deploying to the Middle East this fall.The 829th Engineer Company is headquartered in Spooner with a detachment in Ashland. The soldiers will mobilize as a construction unit supporting an engineer battalion from Indiana. The unit has previous deployment to Afghanistan and twice to Iraq. Hundreds more Wisconsin National Guard and Air National guard personell are already in the region or mobilized for deployment there.
And earlier this month, the Wisconsin National Guard announced deployment to Ukraine this fall by the 32nd "Red Arrow" Infantry Brigade Combat Team Headquarters.
