Monday, March 14th, 2005 -- 8:19 AM
Fond du Lac's Springs High School welcomes back one of its best known students this morning.Rabies survivor Jeanna Giese and her family will be special guest at an assembly in the gym. Then it's back to work for Jeanna, a sophomore.
She'll be attending two classes a day until she's strong enough to come back full-time.
It's been a long road of recovery for Jeanna. She's the first person known to survive rabies without vaccination. He was bitten by a rabid bat September 12th at church and went to a doctor a month later with only vague symptoms of fatigue and tingling and numbness of the hand where the bite occurred. She was hospitalized a few days later.
