Greenwood School Board Discusses Match and Vesting Plan

-The Greenwood School Board discussed their new 403B Match and Vesting plan at their meeting on Monday.The board received an update on the roll-out. Last week staff received a letter explaining the program, a general meeting with representatives from WEA was scheduled after school on September 11th. Staff will also have the opportunity to schedule a private meeting with a WEA financial planner to discuss the 403B plan. The plan will implemented on October 1st. The board also received a staffing update and all positions have been filled. The board received an update on the development of the 2019-20 Budget. They also received a reminder about the Annual Meeting on Monday September 23rd 7:30 pm in Cafetorium. The board also received an update on the Liability Insurance renewal for 2019-2020 and they received an update on the number of Youth Options courses and enrollment.
The board also received the 2019 Summer School Attendance numbers, with 16 full time students, which is up from 12 last summer. The board also approved NEOLA Policy Update 28 of policies between 5000-9000 and the board will review the 2018-19 District Priorities and discuss possible 2019-2020 Priorities at the October meeting. Finally, the board received an update on the Elementary School Office/Entry project, received an update on the end of Safety Grant #1 and stated that power-assist doors are now available at Door 1, school hours, and Door 19 for after-hours events.
