-The Granton School Board heard the Administrators’ Reports at their meeting on Monday.Principal Amanda Kraus discussed the Summer School Jumpstart Program. She said the past 3 days were a very successful start to the school year. Students were able to participate in school-wide culture building activities, have some peer social connection time and get back into the swing of school. She also discussed the PBIS School Signs. Visible positive expectations are posted around the building with the recently approved logo. Students were able to go throughout the building and teachers modeled the new expectations. 4K-12 will be using the same language for all expectations throughout the entire school year.
Finally, she discussed the Math Curricula. The secondary staff have been trained and will be implementing a new Math Curricula known as CPM. This is a majorly activity led learning curricula with students taking more ownership in their learning. They are very excited for this program and cannot wait to see the impact in the district’s Math knowledge.
