(WRN) -At least one state Senator may be running for the House seat being vacated by congressman Jim Sensenbrenner. That would be Delafield Republican Chris Kapenga, according to an unnamed source cited by Wispolitics, stressing no announcement had been made and there was no timeline for one yet. No Republicans have officially said they'll run to replace Sensenbrenner, who announced last that he won't seek re-election in 2020. Republicans considering it: Senate Majority Leader Scott Fitzgerald, Representative Adam Neylon and former state Senator Leah Vukmir.
Also a pair of political novices: Matt Neumann, son of former congressman Mark Neumann and Matt Walker, the son of former Governor Scott Walker. Waukesha County Exec Paul Farrow has decided he won't get into the race.
