The Greenwood City Council heard the Public Works Report at their meeting last week.It was stated the Jones Street project is one month out from completion. The Utility Director also had some questions regarding the purchase of the Raese Property. The Deputy Clerk presented new voting machine equipment to be purchased in 2020-21 and asked the council to keep that in mind during the budget process. The board also heard a report from the attorney and the council approved two new members to the city’s Parks and Rec. Committee.
Finally, the council heard some more information from the Public Works Committee. They council approved the purchase of a ICS gas chain saw for $2,475 with the sewer department paying for 2/3rds of the cost. The committee also discussed the alley between West Central Avenue and West Schofield Avenue and approved the 2020 Street Projects.
