Greenwood City Council Approves Contract for City's Website

-The Greenwood City Council approved a contract for the city’s website at their meeting last week.According to the unofficial minutes from the meeting, they received a quote from Town Web Designs to monitor and re-design the city website. A purchase by September 19th would cost the city $999 and a three-year contract would be $1,962/$948 per month. That also includes 24-7 security and tech support. The council also approved a 60 month contract for internet with Packerland Broadband and will be cancelling their TDS internet. The council also approved the tower lease agreement with Dairyland Power. They have a $501 per year electrical lease payment and that’s paid by January 1st of each year. The council also approved a picnic license for End of Summer Fest and the Branstiter “Old Streets of Greenwood” Museum.
Finally, the council heard the Police Report. An overtime report was given and two officers were working at Loyal’s Corn Fest. They department had four qualified applicants for their officer position. They will be setting up a meeting with the Law Enforcement Committee to move forward with the hiring process.
