-The Neillsville School District held their Annual Meeting on Monday, giving residents and the school board a chance to see figures regarding the district’s finances and comment on them.

The board approved the tax levy of $3,796,970. Breaking down some of the other numbers of note from the meeting includes the projected state aid. The number provided at the meeting on Monday was an estimation as the DPI doesn’t certify state aid until October 15th when they have an accurate count of students at each district. The estimated state aid amount for the next school year comes to $5,299,030. The total amount of revenue and other financing sources for the district for the next year is projected at $11,015,580. Those funds are used for salaries and utility costs for city programs by the Neillsville Rec. Department.
