High School Football Season Begins Thursday

The 2019 High School football season begins Thursday as Neillsville/Granton looks to continue to improve...they will host Fall Creek at D.E. Peters Athletic Field..The Warriors finished 2-7 a year ago and will look to improve with a number of returning players from last year's team. One area that they will have to replace some players is in the offensive backfield where top running backs Thomas Selk and Luke Mayer graduated. Head coach Scott Bryant said he will have Tommy Friemoth, Jonah Zoschke and Carson Opelt will be featured this year. One the strengths of this years team will probably the offensive line which features all seniors.
Coach Bryant says the key to the success of this year's team is staying healthy. The numbers are up from last year, but experienced depth is always a concern.
Neillsville/Granton will host Fall Creek on Thursday. Game time is 7 pm and you can hear it live on 92.7 FM WPKG and streamed live at 1075therock.com.
