Life Expectancy Continues to Drop in Wisconsin

(WRN) -A new report finds life expectancy in Wisconsin is on a downward trend.Wisconsin's life expectancy has dropped for 2 years in a row. A big reason, increased deaths from opioids and alcohol. Drug and alcohol deaths in Wisconsin have more than tripled since 1999, from 593 to over 19 hundred in 2017.
When it comes to opioid deaths in the state, 65 died in '99 compared to just over 900 2 years ago.
