-A Neillsville woman accused of breaking into and burglarizing a home and cutting the owner of the home with a knife appeared in Jackson County Court on Friday.

According to court records, 27-year-old Sherri Fitzl allegedly broke into a man’s home in Alma and took several items. She claimed the man had given her a key and told her to stop by anytime. The man found Fitzl in his home and, when he confronted her about the stolen items, she cut him with a pocket knife.

Fitzl has been charged with armed robbery, burglary with a dangerous weapon, 2nd degree recklessly endangering safety, two count of bail jumping, theft of moveable property, battery and disorderly conduct. During her preliminary hearing, probably cause was found so her court proceedings will continue. She entered a not guilty plea to the charges against her.
