Neillsville City Council Approved City's Health Insurance at Meeting Tuesday

They Neillsville City Council approved the city’s health insurance at their meeting on Tuesday.The city will see their rates go up 4/10th of a percent. It was also mentioned that the city is working on some changes with the insurance in the future. The council also approved the Red Cross to put up a sign on the gazebo for upcoming blood drives. They’ll put the sign up 5-6 days before the blood drive and then take it down that night. Finally, the city approved allowing the city attorney to issue a raze order for a property at 305 E. Fifth Street. It was discovered there were lead issues with that particular property.
Finally, the council heard some committee reports. The council heard the Commission on Economic Development Report. This was the report that discussed the new housing initiative. They also heard the Police and Fire Commission Report from August 1st. The main item from this meeting was the commission agreeing to repost the Police Chief Position for the City as their previous possible hire backed out.
