Greenwood School Board Reviews Several Items in Preparation for the Next School Year

-The Greenwood School Board reviewed several items as they prepare for the next school year.The board reviewed the required District Report on the use of Seclusion and Restraint for 2018-19 and they received notice that the district will continue with the MOU with Clark County to provide a space in both schools for Mental Health counseling for students. The board also approved the NEOLA Policy Update 28 of policies between 1000-4000 and conducted a first reading of NEOLA Update 28 of policies between 5000-9000. The board also received an update on the Elementary School Office/Entry project. The project is moving along well, but some of the casework will not be ready for the first day of school. However, the office will be fully functioning by then.
The board also received an update on the other summer projects and, prior to the meeting, board members toured the new office area and the Outdoor Classroom. The board also heard some committee reports. One board member provided a review of the WASB conference he attended in Appleton. Also, the Buildings and Grounds Committee met on July 31st and this meeting was a construction update on the Elementary School office project.
