Wisconsin Receiving Funds to Help Fight Opioid Addiction

(WRN) -Wisconsin is getting three million dollars to help fight opioid addiction.A grant will help community health centers, rural organizations and schools in the battle with substance abuse. The U-S Department of Health and Human Services announced the grant this week. Local agencies are expected to use the funding to deal with the ongoing opioid crisis.
Federal officials say the number of patients seen at treatment centers increased by more than 140 percent between 2016 and 2018.
