Marshfield Man Arrested for Possession of Meth Appears in Wood County Court

-A Marshfield man arrested for possession of meth after a traffic stop in the City of Marshfield appeared in Wood County Court on Tuesday.At the end of July, according to the Marshfield Police Department, officers performed a traffic stop on E Veterans Parkway and E 29th St. Upon contact with the driver, it was confirmed he had a valid warrant through the Department of Corrections. A K9 sniff was performed and the K9 indicated the presence of controlled substance within the vehicle. Upon searching the vehicle, two baggies of suspected methamphetamine were located near the driver’s seat. A total of 86 grams of methamphetamine were confiscated.
No other subjects were in the vehicle. Street value of the drugs is estimated to be $8400 and roughly 344 dosage units. Williams is being charged with possession with intent-amphetamine and bail jumping. Probable cause was found during his preliminary hearing on Tuesday, so his court proceedings will continue. He’s scheduled for arraignment on August 19th.
