CentralStar Awards Scholarship to Former Granton Student

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -CentralStar Cooperative has awarded eight scholarships in the amount of $1,000 each to college agriculture students at two- and four-year universities.The cooperative says applicants were judged on academics, agricultural and community involvement, as well as dedication to the agriculture industry. One local scholarship winner includes Jillian Tyler of Granton who’s attending UW-River Falls. Each of the students achieved academic success and have shown outstanding leadership ability to qualify them for this scholarship.
They were recognized at the recent East Central/Select Sires annual meeting in Madison last week. The co-op was formed on May 1 upon the merger between East Central/Select Sires and NorthStar Cooperative.
