Wisconsin's All Milk Price for June

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The Wisconsin all milk price for June was $17.90 per hundredweight, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report.That was 20 cents lower than May's price, but $1.40 higher than the same time a year earlier. The U.S. all milk price for June was $18.10 per cwt, 20 cents more than Wisconsin's price and a dime higher than the previous month. Sixteen of the 24 major milk producing states had a higher price when compared with May, while six were lower and two unchanged. Meanwhile, the Chicago Mercantile Exchange 40-pound block cheese price closed at $1.82 per pound on July 31, while barrels were $1.69 per pound.
The CME butter price was $2.34 per pound. For the week ending July 27, the Agricultural Marketing Service U.S. weekly 40-pound block cheese price averaged $1.85 per pound, and 500 pound barrels adjusted to 38 percent moisture averaged $1.77 per pound. The U.S. butter price was $2.38 per pound.
