June Commodity Prices Mixed

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin during June was $3.89 per bushel.According to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report, that was up 38 cents from May and 32 cents higher compared to last June. Soybean prices were $8.22 per bushel, 30 cents more than last month, but down $1.62 from the previous year. Oats averaged $3.51 per bushel, down four cents for the month, but 23 cents higher for the year.
All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $213.00 per ton in June, up $6.00 from May 2019 and $69.00 above June 2018. The alfalfa hay price averaged $219.00--$3.00 more for the month and $71.00 above last year. The other hay price averaged $176.00, down $3.00 from May, but $58.00 higher than in 2018.
