Neillsville School Board Hears Updates on Project List

-The Neillsville School Board heard an update on the projects list at their meeting on Monday.Currently, several projects have already been completed this year including the preparation of the office for demolition including block walls, the construction and painting of new walls, new electrical, new office flooring and painted hallways. Marshfield Glass is in the process of installing new doors and Staley Plumbing is installing a new pool pump. They still need to have flooring installed in the hallways and have electronic office locks installed. The cleaning of the district is continuing too with the auditorium and middle school gym, including the pool and locker room, done. They still need to clean the fieldhouse and weight room and the elementary gym and hallway.
The list of future projects includes the shop areas, exterior doors to the lobby of the fieldhouse, HVAC electronic controls, the track, the bus garage driveway, informational signage, synthetic floor in the fieldhouse, roofing, the high school entrance, the elementary bathroom remodel, HVAC in the elementary and the clock system. The total estimated cost of the project is $2,197,767.17. Some projects have been prioritized to happen as soon as this next school year while other were pushed off extending to the year 2021-22 and some as the budget allows. They’re also looking into new weight room equipment and upgrades.
