Wisconsin Egg Production Increases 7% Over this Time Last Year

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -Wisconsin egg production in June totaled 181 million eggs, an increase of seven percent from the same time last year, but two percent less than May, which had more days on the calendar.According to the latest USDA Chickens and Eggs report, the average number of all layers on hand was 7.08 million, down 5 percent from last year and virtually unchanged from last month.
Eggs per 100 layers for June were 2,550, up 12 percent from last year, but two percent less than last month.
