-The man arrested after he hit a light pole in Marshfield, leaving behind his license plate and a trail of fluids, is Thorp Middle and Elementary Principal Craig Michaelis.According to the Marshfield Police Department, a light pole had partially blocked east traffic on McMillian Street in Marshfield. The crash occurred around 1am on July 11th. They determined a vehicle had left the road and struck the divider and light pole. He said the school board will meet in closed session Tuesday to discuss the incident and the district will be following all appropriate steps in dealing with employee discipline issues.
