Greenwood School Board Reviews Match and Vesting Plan

-The Greenwood School Board reviewed a match and vesting plan at their meeting on Monday.The board reviewed a 403B Match and Vesting Plan and administration was directed to develop another model to address longevity. The board also heard a staffing update and three positions remain vacant including Art, Science and a middle school position. The board also reviewed and approved budget transfers for 2018-19, they approved the preliminary 2019-2020 Budget of $6,044,296.45 and they approved participation in the Federal School Lunch Program for 2019-2020. The board also adopted the Wisconsin Model Academic Standards for District Academic Standards for 2019-2020 and they approved Policy 5451.03 regarding the Valedictorian and Salutatorian.
The board also conducted a first reading of NEOLA Policy Update 28 of policies between 1000-4000, they received an update on the Elementary School Office/Entry project, with the project moving along well and on schedule, and the board received an update on other summer projects. Finally, the board approved a request from the City of Greenwood that non-resident city employees be afforded “resident” status for access to the Fitness Center.
