The Neillsville Chamber of Commerce is hosting their Recognition Banquet tomorrow night at Fannies Supper Club.At the banquet, the Neillsville Country Club will be honored with the Chamber?s ?Salute of the Year?, Magnuson?s Mini Acres will be recognized as the ?Agribusiness of the Year?, and Kwik Trip will be honored as the ?Business of the Year?.
Carrie Golomski is the store leader at Kwik Trip. More than just a gas station, Golomski says they now offer produce, bakery and restaurant-style food, all while keeping a focus on community-involvement.
"Part of our mission statement, in a nutshell is: 'do onto others as you've had done onto you'," Golomski says, "We're just here to spend a little of our customers day with them."
Their community involvement had employees jumping into a frigid O?Neil Creek during last year?s Rotary Club Polar Plunge, supplying food for the send-off for the 128th Infantry, and countless donations for area fundraisers.
Golomski says the Chamber of Commerce honor coincides with another award.
"(Kwik Trip) was nominated to be Convenience Store Chain of the Year by Convenience Store Decisions this year," Golomski says.
There are Kwik Trip locations in Wisconsin, Iowa and Minnesota. Neillsville?s Kwik Trip location has about 17 employees.
