Owen City Council Hears Police Commission Report

-The Owen City Council heard the Owen-Withee Police Commission Report at their meeting last week.The main topic discussed was health insurance for the officers. The Owen-Withee Police Chief presented the commission with information he had obtained on various health insurance plans. The chief also has hired two additional county officers for the Owen Jr Fair. The council also approved the revised Heartland CO-OP/VIA Rail Engineering plan that addresses the existing 12-inch water main conflict cover concern. This plan was also approved by the Director of Public Works.
The council also approved a resolution authorizing the issuance and sale of $2,365,000 Taxable Tax Increment Revenue Bond. Finally, the council approved a resolution authorizing the issuance and sale of $1,719,000 Tax Increment Revenue Refunding Bond. The council also approved a long list of liquor and operators licenses.
