Average Price Received For Corn

(Wisconsin Ag Connection) -The average price received by farmers for corn in Wisconsin last month was $3.51 per bushel, according to the latest USDA Agricultural Prices report.That was up five-cents from April, but down 13-cents from the previous May. Soybean prices averaged $7.92 per bushel, 31-cents lower than April and down $1.92 from May 2018. Oats were selling for $3.55 per bushel, 15-cents higher for the month and 35-cents more for the year. All hay prices in Wisconsin averaged $207.00 per ton in May, up $30.00 from April and $52.00 above last May.
The alfalfa hay price was $216.00, $33.00 more than last month and $45.00 above last year. The other hay price averaged $179.00, $19.00 higher than April and $70.00 more than in 2018.
