Neillsville City Council Reports

The Neillsville City Council heard the various committee reports at their meeting on Tuesday.

They heard the Special Library Board Meeting Report from June 11th. At that meeting, they approved purchasing three 17 SEER AC units from Custom Heating and Cooling for $12,845. They heard the Board of Cemetery Commissioners Report from their meeting on June 12th. They heard an update on the work done in the cemetery and questions were raised about who is responsible for straightening headstones. The council heard the Commission on Economic Development Report from their meeting on June 12th. The commission continued to discuss a possible incentive program for those considering building residential properties. They council also heard the Police and Fire Commission Report from their meeting on June 13th. The purpose of that meeting was to interview candidates for the position of Neillsville Police Chief.

The council heard the Heritage Days Committee Report from their meetings on June 13th and June 20th. They heard updates and discussed Miss Neillsville, kids’ games, signage, the golf outing, parade, beer brands, volunteers, pottery, the Chamber’s Business After 5 on that Thursday of Heritage Days, some improvements to the park that will benefit the event and an update on some displays. Finally, the council heard the Fire Hall Board Report from their meeting on June 20th. They re-elected their officers, heard some financials and more.
