Neillsville City Council Approves a Few Minor Items

-The Neillsville City Council approved a few minor items at their meeting on Tuesday.

The council approved the transfer and reconveyance of graves from Dorothy Larsen. The graves were returned to the City of Neillsville at a cost of $300 each for a total of $600. The council also approved a DOT safety reimbursement grant for $3,984. Finally, the council approved to extend the hours of Schuster Park until 12:30am for noise and to close at 1am for Neillsville Heritage Days. The council also heard a few items during the communications portion of the meeting. One alderman said he was disappointed that lights, that had been budgeted for last year, hadn’t been installed in Schuster Park before Heritage Days.

The Beautification Committee is holding a banner design contest and the entries are due July 1st. The council was also invited to Cummins 100th Anniversary Even on July 19th, the Action Club donated some benches to the city and they reviewed a letter of appreciation from some residents who were happy the city approved the new ATV ordinance.
